ABOUT VOICEMASTER
Esther Roberts
Esther, originally from the Netherlands, relocated to the UK in 2003 to join Steve and Voice Master. She graduated as a social worker in 1999 and spent three years at the Triton Foundation before pursuing her passion for language education. In 2004, she earned her ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) qualification from the University of Cambridge, all while continuing her collaboration with Steve.
Over the following years, Esther became an invaluable asset to the team, serving as Steve’s right-hand ‘man’ in the office. She managed administrative tasks, maintained the website, recorded voiceovers, developed new courses, and provided essential support during training sessions.
Following Steve’s passing in 2024, Esther took the helm of the business. She remains committed to evolving the courses and fostering partnerships across India, Saudi Arabia, the USA, and Europe, ensuring the legacy of Voice Master continues to thrive.
Steve Hudson
The late, great Steve Hudson, born in London on the 5th August 1933, passed away on the first of August 2024 in Waltham on the Wolds. Although I’m revealing his age now, no-one ever knew because he didn’t want anyone to know!
Steve was an international award-winning voiceover, actor, stuntman, model and communication skills trainer.
He has recorded thousands of voiceovers for major brands, including Fuji, The national Lottery, Mitsubishi, Guinness, Old Spice, Martini, Harp Lager, Superman, Fred Olson Cruise Lines, FM100 and many, many more. He appeared as ‘ Signor Tonino’ in two TV commercials and a TV advert for Talisman Tobacco. He came close to real stardom when Cubby Broccoli was casting for the lead role in James Bond movies; Steve said he lost by an eyebrow (and a few million pounds) to Roger Moore.
He has won a number of awards for production and performance, including Best Radio commercial at the Hollywood Radio and Television Society for ‘Sound International’. He was the voice of ‘God’ for the TV series Sapphire and Steel and continued to work as a voiceover lending his voice to many products, corporate narration, video games and websites.
Steve enjoyed working with and interviewing many stars and celebrities, including the multi-talented Miriam Margolyes, Gennie Nevinson, Barry Ingham, Frank Sinatra, Otto Preminger, Roger Moore, the Duke and Duchess of Bedford, Lord Lichfield, David Bailey, Sharon Duce, Vince Hill, Hulk Hogan, Pele and Tracey Ullman.
